Who

Akebono is an initiative of Sarah Van Camp, MA in Japanese studies (Catholic University of Leuven, 1991);
Sworn translator at the Court of Antwerp (since 1994, certified in 2019), Master of Social and Cultural Anthropology (Catholic University of Leuven, 2000), Trained Teacher (University of Antwerp, 2006) and Postgraduate in Literary Translation (Catholic University of Leuven, 2018).
who lived and worked for two years in Tokyo (1992, 1993, 1996, 2007), six months of which at the Belgian Embassy, and in Nagoya (2010).
7 years at the Japanese Embassy in Brussels (cultural service, consulate, Japanese Mission to the EU)
and 25 years as a teacher of Japanese in several schools and companies in Belgium.
